Season Opener THIS SATURDAY!
After a torturous 9-month hiatus from home team competition, the Tai Chi-tahs, the Debutante Brawlers and the Trauma Queens are ready to SPRING IT ON! It all gets rolling THIS SATURDAY, March 29, when the Tai Chi-tahs take on the Trauma Queens! The battle for the 2008 Golden Skate has begun!
Marked by several significant returning players and talented newcomers, the 2008 season is looking extraordinarily interesting for CRG! Fan favorite Roxy Rockett has returned after spending a year with the Philly Rollergirls to play for the Debutante Brawlers. Fully recovered after nearly a season of injuries, notorious bad girl Penelope Bruz has returned to skate for the Trauma Queens. And the biggest comeback of CRG history happens March 29 — CRG founder, Celia Fate, who, due to multiple injuries, has been unable to compete since CRG's expo bout in November 2004, will debut her impressive jamming and blocking skills as a Tai Chi-tah! Come support the amazing woman who started it all!
And fans, thanks for your feedback! Our bout production crew has been implementing changes to better your game experience. One of the most noticeable differences will be seating available on the north and south sides of the arena. The merch booth will now be trackside, so you can grab roller goodies without missing a minute of the action. Also, in accordance with the growing national standard, all future games will be played in (2) 30-minute periods, versus the (3) 20-minute periods of previous seasons.
