Birthday: May 5
Brain Boot (Bootleggers vs Blue Ridge), MVP (Tai Chi-tah vs Altanta Rumble Bs)
Skate: Riedell 795's (desperate need of an upgrade) w/nylon plates.
Cross Training: Crossfit Raleigh, 3 days a week. It's almost as awesome as derby. I do a little running as well.
Debut: July 11, 2010 Trama Queens vs Debutante Brawlers at the Skate Ranch. We only had 10 people on the roster, 5 of us were newbies and it was the first game for Hot Mess, Erna Beatin, and I. Wasn't sure we were going to make it out alive, but we did and only lost by 31pts.
Joined CRG: January 2010
Teams You've Played For: All of them (seriously in 2010 I was an Carolina All-Star, Bootlegger, Tai Chi-tah, Debutante Brawler, and a Trauma Queen)
Favorite Location: Dorton and the Skate Ranch
Favorite Surface: Wood
How did you find derby?: I wanted to get involved with derby earlier when my sister started back in 2004, but my job at the time consumed all of my time. I was laid off in 2009 and needed a focus. My sister convinced me to try out in Jan of 2010 after attending one speed practice the night before. BEST DECISION EVER!! Thanks Rockett!
Best Fresh Meat Moment: During my first bout (TQ's vs Deb's) Q and I were jamming and she got through before me and was lead. Guess my girl wanted to play around so she slowed down and started booty blocking me...finally I was able to get by so she wasn't able to score.
Favorite Derby Memory: Watching CRG (on my laptop) dominate at Dust Devil 2011. They looked amazing and played so well as a team. I was so proud!!
Likes: Confidence, aggression, honesty.
Dislikes: Excuses, laziness, entitlement.
Derby Heroes: My sister Roxy Rockett and my amazing supportive derby family...Sheeza Mama Rockett and Papa Roxy Freak. Love them all!
Name Inspiration: My longtime friend Nadima always called me FREAK!! And I just love the name Sheeza (it's what my teammates call me).
Food Before a Bout: Something healthy
