Birthday: July 1
Weight: 4 pood
Queen Bee (Boots) February/April 2013;
MVP Boot June 2013
Skate: Custom Bont boots (for my Fred Flintstone feet) with avenger da-45's and a mix of bones turbos and zombies.
Cross Training: I like to try it all- I'm a big fan of functional training!
Debut: Bootleggers, February 2013.
Joined CRG: January 2013
Teams You've Played For: Carolina Bootleggers, Bangor Roller Derby
Favorite Location: Dorton Arena
Favorite Surface: Wood Floor!
How did you find derby?: I saw a post for a new league being formed in Maine. The idea of hitting people appealed to me, even though I couldn't skate at all! I went to the first practice and was hooked immediately, the physical workout was unlike anything else I'd tried and the team atmosphere made it easy to push myself past my boundaries.
Sports Background: As a kid I played baseball, softball, and soccer and would try to tackle my older brothers' friends playing football :) As an adult I played rec softball.
Best Fresh Meat Moment: Before officially transferring to CRG I was able to skate in a mixed scrimmage with them against Gotham's B-team and River City's all stars. I spent more time on the floor than on my feet but I didn't give up and the opportunity to play against skaters of that caliber was amazing.
Favorite Derby Memory: The Bootleggers played against Cape Fear recently and not only did we play an amazing game together and come away with the win- but after the bout we realized the audience had several celebrities in it. We got to meet Susan Sarandon and Kathy Bates!
Likes: Cookies, skating, pitbulls, sleep, and anything purple.
Dislikes: Mushrooms, running, and negative people.
Derby Heroes: Bonnie Thunders (Gotham), Grim D. Mise (Maine Roller Derby)
Name Inspiration: My Grandmothers name is Rosalie but everyone calls her Rosie and my middle name is Rose... really it just came to me and it fit.
Food Before a Bout: Banana and almond butter or power bars.
If you could have any super power, what would it be? To skate like Bonnie Thunders!
