Skate: Reidell 595s with Lazer Plates

Cross Training: Yoga, dancing, riding bikes, running

Debut: Bootleggers vs Dominion, August 2009

Joined CRG: January 2009

Teams You've Played For: Carolina All-Stars, Carolina Bootleggers, Debutante Brawlers, Tai Chi-tahs, Carolina Hurticanes

Favorite Location: Dorton Arena

Favorite Surface: I love wooden floors.

How did you find derby?: My husband and my friend Cody both went to a CRG bout, came back home and told me that I needed to try out ASAP. I went to a bout viewing event and decided to try. I hadn't been on skates in 20 years, so I showed up to a speed practice the night before try outs, and promptly fell on my butt, but I kept going and made it!

Sports Background: Soccer, swimming and tai chi.

Best Fresh Meat Moment: My best moment happened during my first bout when I was booty blocking the jammer and I heard Rockerboy say "And Elektra Q-tion is holding the jammer by herself!" I yelled to my team, "Somebody get back here and help meeeeeeeee!"

Favorite Derby Memory: I have so many, but to be fair, I think all of my favorite moments happen when there is great teamwork on the track. Nothing gives me more goosebumps than when my team is really gelling.

Likes: Dogs of any kind, Sour Patch Kids, heavy music, art, blogging.

Dislikes: Lazy people, self centered people.

Derby Heroes: Beth Row, Riva Derci, Rigor Morticia (Blueridge Rollergirls), Lady Quebaum (Charm City Rollergirls)

Name Inspiration: Mr. Q and Cody Pendant thought it would be cool for me to be named Elektra, because she's one of my favorite comic book characters. They also came up with my number, which is really supposed to be 1.21 gigawatts, but I wasn't allowed to have the decimal. It's funny, but ever since I've really started playing, most people call me Q (Beth Row was the first), and I love it. Every Q I've ever seen in a movie or tv show is this quirky, strange person who is really smart or powerful, so I'll take it.

Food Before a Bout: Snickers Bar and Sour Patch Kids.

If you could have any super power, what would it be? Let's be fair, with a name like Elektra Q-tion, I really am a super villain; my power of course is to electrocute people.
