Say goodbye to 2010 with the Carolina Rollergirls! Work up your appetite for Thanksgiving and help feed the people who really need it!
November 20th, we’ve got a double header charity bout to benefit Interfaith Food Shuttle!
First, in their last home game at Dorton Arena, the Carolina Bootleggers take on the Richland County Regulators of South Carolina in a bout of the lawless moonshiners versus the posse of vigilantes! This is definitely going to be one to remember, one you’ll tell your grandkids about while they roll their eyes and ride their flying skateboards.
In between bouts, be sure to catch the amazing Helping Hands Mission Marching Band as our half-time show.
Then, in our headlining bout, we have the best of frenemies, the Carolina All Stars versus the Philly Roller Girls. Philly’s coming down south after placing fourth at Nationals, and Carolina returns from a big win over Cape Fear. In their last meeting at Eastern Regionals, Philly knocked CRG out of Nationals contention, but Carolina is always on the lookout for a break in Philly’s armor… you don’t want to miss it the day that they find it!
See the EVENTS PAGE for details on how to get a FREE bout poster by helping out the Food Shuttle!
Saturday, November 20th
Carolina Bootleggers vs. Richland Co. Regulators
Carolina All-Stars vs Philly Roller Girls
Dorton Arena | NC State Fairgrounds | Raleigh, NC
Doors: 5:30pm | Game 1: 6:00pm | Game 2: 7:30pm
Be among the first to see some of the new merch we’re rolling out! Raise a CRG pint glass or a stainless steel water bottle to roller derby…or both! Plus, take home some of your favorite skaters with our new pin-up style calendars for 2011. And by popular demand, we’ll be debuting a kid’s shirt that’s ready to start collecting autographs. Skip the mall this holiday season, and get it all done at our merch booth!
Nothing starts from nothing, and derby is no exception. Join us to watch the documentary about how the modern roller derby revival began: Hell on Wheels. This film tells the story of the labor pains of derby in the cradle of Austin, Texas, where flat track diverged from banked.
